One of the most common Podiatry conditions treated is Athlete’s foot / Tinea Pedis.

Tinea is caused by fungus growing on the skin of the feet and thrives in moist, dark and humid environments, conducive to that seen inside of shoes and socks.

Usually occurring in between toes and on the soles of feet, Tinea presents as red, itchy, cracked and sometimes blistered.

Tinea is usually quite responsive to conservative treatment and there is a high rate of success amongst patients.
